Today is Cerebral Palsy Awareness day here at JMS. We
have students here at Jefferson that were born with Cerebral
Palsy, as well as many other people around the world, and we
are here to celebrate them and the amazing strides they have
made in their everyday life.

Cerebral Palsy can severely impair communication, but there
are many different ways that people can communicate. One
way that people with Cerebral Palsy can communicate is with
an eye gaze computer system. This system recognizes the
eye movement and can operate a computer all by a simple
look at the screen.

We hope that you all brought your spare change and
wore your green today. This Friday Jefferson Pride
donations will go to this amazing cause. There will also
be a Photo Booth in the multipurpose room today during
your lunch periods set up by our FLS.

Congratulations to our 7th and 8th grade girls basketball
teams for their victories over Franklin. Be sure to come
support them against Edison, Thursday, October 12th.

There will be no art club this week, but there will be art
club next week.

School Picture Day is scheduled for Monday, October
