NAAPID:

This date from 1995, observes National African American Parent Involvement Day (NAAPID). Inspired by the Million Man March, it was created to encourage parents to begin practicing the goals of NAAPID; to promote African American parent involvement in their child's education, promote and provide strategies for African American parents and students to take full advantage of the educational process at all levels of the educational system (preschool through post secondary), and to develop partnership efforts between all sectors of the community (business, school, home etc.). Here is how Jefferson is working on this during the 2020-2021 school year.

  • Visit your child's classroom for distance learning on February 8th from 7:50 AM - 12:05 PM.
